Due to enthusiasm, dedication and love for coffee, the first privately owned traditional black coffee brand Grand Kafa was established in the 1990s.
It all began at the end of 1997, in the years remembered by small home coffee roasting businesses and suspicious quality blends, when Mr. Slobodan Vučićević founded Grand Kafa, aspiring to create a domestic finest quality coffee brand. Within only a few years, due to constant high quality and originality, Grand Kafa gained trust of millions of coffee-lovers and became a leading brand in the region. Ever since the launching, Grand Kafa has been dominant in the domestic coffee market. Logical further development of a brand successful as the Grand Kafa was to expand to yet unexploited markets. In April 2004, a coffee factory was opened in Bosnia and Herzegovina to satisfy the demands of this market. Grand Kafa confirmed its regional ambitions by opening a coffee factory and commencing a coffee production business in Macedonia. The year 2005 was the year of strategic decisions and great business successes for Grand Kafa – strategic partnership agreement was concluded with Slovenian Droga Kolinska Group and afterwards even a merger with the Group took place. Grand Kafa has been performing its business operations as a brand of Droga Kolinska Group for more than a year now.
